Beyond Compear

Macro ~ This is a cluster of pear blossoms in a tiny vintage bottle. The dark anther part of the stamen is the size of coarse black pepper and is the male portion of the blossom that creates pollen. We have 2 of these trees and have yet to have pears. I had the idea to try some of this stained glass looking film on a plain window pane hoping to get a rainbow of colors effect in the bokeh. It did not turn out as I hoped probably b/c I didnt have a way to light the underside enough & I needed a larger subject. I probably should have tried one or three of the blooms to get more depth of field & detail. I did like the curve of the stems so I left the cluster together. Focus stacking looked terrible. Ambient & 2 CFL lights. See the #BTS pic. Settings: F25 .30 iso 100 @100mm.
